By organizing and exploring the body view of TCM(traditional Chinese medicine) culture, and by comparing and interdisciplinary approach, the thesis rethinks the relationship between aesthetics ideology and body cognition. For art and aesthetic thoughts the understanding of aesthetic is largely based on basic human body view, this body view derived from the feeling experience from the body, form imagination and speculation in our mind and also from the practice of life and cognitive. These respects both mutual confluence, slightly different, different emphasis and understanding produce different body view. When the body view has formed, it also influenced ideology of aesthetics in reverse. So, in order to rethink the definition of art and beauty we must return to the organizing and exploring of basic human body view. The body cognitive of TCM culture provides us with a good model and structure of the body, such as internal and external configuration not only have the empirical and rigorous medical but also have the art of emotional experience and knowledge, this body cognitive has profound significance and function to development and exploration of somaesthetic which emerging disciplines. It could even become the base body view of somaesthetic research. Somaesthetics is a fused subject which contains Chinese and Western philosophy thoughts, life experience, and esthetics research subject. It fundamentally changed the traditional dichotomy of body and mind in western, the union of mind and body (soma) will be placed to the core status of philosophy and aesthetics. Starting from man's life experiences in life practice through certain learning exercise will raise the body understanding and sensibility and connect the body feelings with inner feelings. Understanding art through the soma and improve soma through the art. Therefore, the combination of body view and somaesthetic of TCM culture not only can find an open aesthetic artistry and do not break the scientific rigour body rely on, still can bring the abstract philosophical thinking into can effectively to improve the human life practice aesthetic activities, this is what this article to explore and the main contents.
