And the external language is only a small part of the internal language. Art has its roots in real life; drama performance which is approximate to life certainly should draw lessons from life.This article discusses the connotation of interior monologue, the similarities and differences between interior monologue and subtext, methods of creating interior monologue, the role it plays in characterization and how to master and use it. The final aim is to contribute to characterization.
