"Honesty, the truth of the heaven! Moderation, the truth of the nature! Humanity, the truth of the heart! 0nly the humanity can reach to the nature and the heaven " ,which is the first sentence in the first chapter" Humanity " of Hu Hong "Zhi yan" . It is the Master plan of Hu Hong's theoretical system, and the essence of his thought. From which we can know clearly that in Hu Hong's theory, followed the model of " the unity of heaven and humanity " and the traditional virtue in philosophy of Confucianism, inherited and developed the thought of "Yi zhuan" and "Zhong yong" ,finally attributed to Confucius and Mencius.During the Revival of Confucianism in the Song period, each philosopher have set up their own metaphysical system. Only Hu Hong have an different eyesight , his theory not ground in the "li" theory, nor in "qi" theory, but ground firmly in the connecting link between heaven and man——nature, and on the theory of "nature" he found his own metaphysical system and opened the Hu xiang School.From the basic questions of philosophy, this article which based on the perspective of "the unity of heaven and humanity", wholly explained the unique value and significance of Hu Hong's philosophical thinking, using specific analyse methods consists of cosmology, ontology and"Gong fu". This article is divided into six chapters:The first chapter introduced the Hu Hong's life, works and social background.The second chapter introduced the Confucian traditional model of " the unity of heaven and humanity " and the history change of virtue. And then, introduced the Hu Hong's Heaven View. Hu Hong inherited the Confucian traditional view of Heaven, accurate absorbed honesty, humanity theory of value, and used the theory of honesty and humanity on Heaven, endowed the true value to the Heaven.The third chapter explained the "nature". By researching the origins of the "nature", the author indicated that the "nature" theory of Hu Hong's are far beyond the scope of human nature. It inferred to Heaven, and went to the metaphysical status of ontology, the true meaning is " thriress " and values orientation of "zhong and he". Nature can not be described by good or bad, it is a transcend noumenon, not with the evil pair.The fourth chapter explained the "heart". The relationship between nature and heart like " Ti and Yong". The heart have no life or death, but it own the character of know everything. "Humanity, the truth of the heart!", Humanity is the essential part of heart. The real situation came from the heart with the desire or feeling was functioned as the object of value judgments, then there will be right or wrong, good or evil. At last Hu Hong proposed a unique concept of desire—"tian li ren yu tong ti yi yong" .The fifth chapter discussed the"Gongfu Lun"—"jin xin cheng xing", which included the most important method—"xian shi ren zhi ti" and the extension methods—"zhi zhi and ju jing" and "qiong li and gua yu".In the end, the author described the history status, influence and value of Hu Hong's thinking briefly .
