Liu Zongyuan And The Social Development Of Yong Zhou

Liu Zongyuan was exiled from the capital Chang an City and lived in Yong Zhou for ten years because of innovation in Yong-zhen years. In the ten years, although Liu Zongyuan was lonely and grief and indignant because his ideal did not come true, he was seriously ill because of the disaffected mood and not accustom to Yong Zhou's climate. But, Liu Zongyuan did not surrender, he travelled among mountains and waters, involved in reading and writing, his writings recorded the landscape, customs and social status about the local people, and made brilliant achievements in literature and philosophy. These are precious cultural heritage that Liu Zongyuan left to Yong Zhou. In addition, Liu Zongyuan did many practical things for Yong Zhou, especially in promoting culture and education development and made Yong Zhou World-widely famous. Of course, the contribution that Liu Zongyuan made to Yong Zhou was not limited to ancient times. In contemporary society, Yong Zhou dig deeper into Yong Zhou that is the most value historical and cultural resources to promote the development of local economic, cultural and social. At present, Yong Zhou government intends to build an International LiuXue Research Base by Liu Zongyuan memorial as the core, brand Yong Zhou known well to the national and the world, to dissolve into the local economy, social. Liu Zongyuan made great contribution to the social development of Yong Zhou, and the influence will continue, more closely.This paper mainly discusses from three aspects. In the first aspect, I review Liu Zongyuan's life in Yong Zhou and the society of Yong Zhou at that time in Liu Zongyuan's article. Liu Zongyuan's life and his prose are precious historical materials for today's Yong Zhou, also, provide important historical and cultural resources for the social development of Yong Zhou. In the second aspect, I discuss Liu Zongyuan's education practice in Yong Zhou and the influence that Liu Zongyuan brought to culture, especially to the folk culture of Yong Zhou, and then explore the contribution brought by Liu Zongyuan's education practice. In the third aspect, I explore the local government of Yong Zhou how to develop the local economy and culture through the symbol of Liu Zongyuan as an important historical and culture role.
