This paper is the research of the portraiture of Berthe Morisot, in the 19th century French bourgeoisie social and cultural background. She is the first female artist to participate in the Impressionist exhibition who can not be ignored in the impressionist painters. Renoir called her a "pure genius ". Pissarro also praised her as "an outstanding woman, and such outstanding women can bring honor to our Impressionist group. However, poor Berthe Morisot, the public know little about her. " As a female painter, her Impressionist paintings from female perspective in Paris of the 19th century became the most stunning of the wonderful works. Meanwhile, her relations with many Impressionist painters, particularly with the father of Impressionist, Manet, is a friendship that beyond love, has been talked a lot.This paper introduced Morisot cable life. Her works themes is diversiform, but she payed more attentions to portraits than to any other subjects. In the whole art career,she keeps to the great passion and portraits of creative power. This paper mainly discusses the portrait of her three themes - children, women and nature were targeted discussion and study. She was hardly introduced In domestic, and her work have never been deeply researched. Under this precondition, this paper is undoubtedly a necessary attempt, at the same time makes us to add a study of impressionistic work in more diverse perspectives.
