Therefore, this paper explores the designing style of Olympic Games logo through the analysis of its evolution and different characteristics in different periods. Respectively, they are the style of innovation and uniqueness and the style that embodying the personality and national characteristics. The former includes British deco art style, the Tokyo International style, and the artistic style of optical effects. The latter includes presentation ofindigenous national image, the combination of traditional and modern style, and the embodiment of national painting characteristics. The paper also describes the background, artistic style and design features of several typical logos of Olympic Games. Besides, the paper analyses the conception and design from image simplification, the image of geometric symbols, concrete manifestation of images, expression of arbitrariness, relationship between figure and underlayment, expression of the momentum and tension, as well as the use of formal beauty rule.
