The Study Of Anaphora Location Noun Components

This thesis analyzes the anaphora of location noun components from different angles, and mainly takes the methods of combining the form and meaning, the statistics and analysis. We discuss and analyze the pragmatics, discourse and cognitive function of the anaphora of location noun, and the restricted factors of the anaphora on the base of previous research studies. The whole thesis consists of four chapters besides the conclusion. The concrete contents are shown as following:The first chapter is the preface, which introduces the purpose and meaning of the thesis, the research thought and method of the thesis, the sources of materials and the other scholars'research.The second chapter is the classification of the anaphora of location noun. We systematically analyze and research the anaphora of location noun in modern Chinese, and classify it according to various forms and characteristics of the previous words. In this chapter we mainly analyze the type of the anaphora of location noun components, which used examples to verify the language phenomenon, so that we can realize the supplement between form and meaning. Then we draw the conclusion that the anaphora of location noun components is very obvious in the modern Chinese.The third chapter is the function of location noun components's anaphora. In this chapter, we mainly describe the anaphora of location noun components in text and analyze its function by using the methods of the pragmatics, discourse and cognition. The anaphora of location noun components refers to three aspects in pragmatics, which include indicative function of language context to turn-taking, pragmatic communication and presupposition. In discourse, the anaphora of location noun components includes the texture of discourse and topic function. In the cognitive level, we mainly, analyze the function of the anaphora of location noun components according to the accessibility theory, frame theory, image schema theory and relevance theory.The fourth chapter is the restricting factors of the anaphora of location noun components. We explain the impact of the major components of the anaphora of location noun components, which influence it due to the syntactic semantics, style, theme and discourse.The last is the conclusion, which summarizes the points of whole thesis and the inadequacies of this thesis.
