Zhang Taiyan Shuo-wen chieh-tzu Lecture Note (short for Note)was published by Zhonghua publishing house in December 2008. This Note was the lesture note when Mr Zhang teached Shuo-wen chieh-tzu in Japan 1908. Zhu Xizu, Qian Xuantong and Zhou Shuren(Lu Xun) wrote down the note. The Note reflected the material achievement that he researched Shuo-wen chieh-tzu in systemic and comprehensive, and many of the achievements were raised by Mr Zhang at the first time in academic circle. Publishing this book gives some new informationes and ideas to the research of Shuo-wen chieh-tzu, even in around of Xiaoxue. By the reason of Note has been published just 2 years, and there was many contents in it, consequently, there are few of researchers who research Note in systemicly. The article try to research Note from the view of cognate in systemic.There are some characters in the article. Firstly, fasten all of the cognates in Note by roundly and systematic, we have 601 pairs of cognates by aggregately(include some Gu-Jinzi and few of variant form of Chinese character), then eliminate the cognates which were argumentative, not emblematical, and other masters have analysed in maturely, we still have more than 300 pairs of cognates, finally, we pick up 167 pairs of cognates, analyse and research by seriatim and deeply. Secondly, The cognates' phohology standard is Wang Li's 32 Shen system and 30 Yun system in ancient times, then arranged by the order of 30 Yun system, but do not use the standard of meaning or semanteme to analyzing these cognates. By this method, we can find every cognate easily. but if we use the way of meaning or semanteme analyzing, some cognates could not be found easily, or the extend of apptobating between the cognate and nucleus-semanteme maybe diffidence. Thirdly, at the end of each pair of cognates, we use the method of semanteme analyzing, sum up the nucleus-semanteme, and follow the way of researching the cognats by Mrs Wang Ning and Mr Meng Pengsheng. list the formula, make each pairs of cognate's meaning analyzing clearly. Fourthly, at the same time of researching the cognates in Note, we also point out the problems or mistakes by Taiyan, and try to discuss. On the other hand, we don't only research the cognates in Note, but also extend and elucidate.
