As a miracle of Meishan Culture, Xihua Folk Song reflects the folkways and cultural tradition of this territory of nationality. It has important research value for linguistics, history, archaeology, folklore, folk music and folk literature. And it has irreplaceable impact to local cultural identity, aesthetic value and national unity. Xinhua Folk Song, which is loved by local people, is a treasure of Chinese traditional culture and folk music to hold Meishan nation together.By using the field investigation in shuiche Town, this thesis analyzes and states the artistic features and development of Xinhua Folk Song.The thesis is mainly divided into three parts:Part one, stating the social culture background, formation and development of Xinhua Folk Song. It mainly introduces the geographic and human environment, the origin and development vein of Xinhua Folk Song.Part two, combining with collecting and recording a lot of examples of folk songs, this part expounds the artistic features of Xinhua Folk Song analyzing recorded music scores. And it also states music for voices, mode, lyrics and singing of Xinhua Folk Song. And it analyzes the artistic features of Tao Hong performance.Part three, by means of field work, this part summarizes the inheritable pathway and survival status of Xinhua Folk Song. And it put forward good suggestions about the survival and development of Xinhua Folk Song, which is a kind of the intangible cultural heritage. It aims of supplying reference for inheriting, protecting and developing the intangible cultural heritage.
