Cinematographe is a kind of composition using motion image and sound.Cinematographe insist on the basic research and explore of image and sound.So it is different from the commercial movie or cinema that sink into the inveteracy of story telling,organ exciting and other art form——especially from literature,drama,painting and music.Cinematographe is new way of writing, new method of feeling,so have different thought manner from culture,which under the stress of word.From AD 1960's,French author Jean-Luc Godard's cinematographe work began to break up the falsehood of commercial cinema and set free the reality of cinematographe.His work analyse the character of image and sound on many differently point of view in aesthetics and plutonomy,composing good example of cinematographe.We talking about Godard's idea of edit in the field of cinematographe.In broad sense,the idea of edit include his course,which insist on real,natural, creationary image and sound.In narrow sense,firstly,the idea of edit means the disjunction of so called flowing cut in commercial cinema,and then,suggest emotion and sense transform method within the combination of sound and image.In first chapter,base on the connection between Chinese word's sounimage characteristic and cinematographe,we discuss some basic cinema concept in Chinese.In second chapter,we discuss screen first.From theater screen to televition screen,from film to tape or digital video, Godard's idea of screen means by reason of function and aesthetics difference, cinematographe should separate from commercial cinema system.Then, in board sense, we discuss Godard's idea of edit, the way that he seek for real,natural, creationary image and sound.In third chapter, we discuss the primary idea of Godard's image and sound edit in narrow sense——firstly, using ostensibly disorder edit way disjoint the falsehood commercial cinema's flowing cut form.secondly, by the combination of image and sound, suggest transformation in emotion and sense. On structural edit,Griffith,Eisenstein and Vertov effected on Godard's idea.Thinking and collocating with the time is innermost part of Godard's edit idea always.
