| The regime in Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties changed frequently in the history of China. Social unrest is pregnant with mind emancipation, cultural prosperity and national integration. In the feudal society, the concept of male superiority is rooted in people's minds. However, the status of women in Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties improved significantly. Marriage concept and marriage life changed quietly. Nobles marriage becomes the mainstream form of marriage in Wei JinDynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties. Concept of marriage for women has also been influenced by the open social atmosphere, which is embodied in the marriage option, family status, and marital life and so on. The author mainly discusses the marriage concept and state in Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties from the perspective of women.This thesis consists of four parts:The first part discusses the emergence and change of nobles marriage and analyses the features of nobles marriage. The Nobles marriage is formed as a result of Nobles politics. Marriage form of Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties is unique.The second part focuses on marriage concept of women in Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties. In this period, Women's family and social status improved significantly. The ideas of women changed in mate choice, marriage life and functions.The third part explores the state of women's marriage. There are many records about marriage in historical records, poetry and novels of this period. Under the influence of Confucian ideology, gender inequality is the main reason for women's unhappy marriage. The improvement status of women causes the appearance of more happy families.Finally, for an overview of marriage concept and life, we can acquire the comprehensive understanding of marriage forms in Wei Jin Dynasties and Southern and Northern Dynasties. |
