Research On The Diaspora Writing Of A Free Life By Hajin

Diaspora is a literary phenomenon, is more and more attractive among literary critics in recent years."Diaspora" only means the Jews was exiled to other places all over the world originally. Recently, in historical trend of world economy globalization, the meaning of "diaspora" is extended to the migration of every nation's peoples for many reasons, in certain sense, it means a kind of language and cultural conflict and integration. "Diaspora" has many meanings, the meaning of "diaspora" is uesed in the thesis is a better one.ChineseAmerican Literature is a very important part in the diaspora phenomenon. The thesis will generally introduce the translation,scope and the develop process of Chinese American Literature. As a Chinese American writer,Hajin is a very excellent and influential writer in main American culture. Also, in China, "Hajin phenomenon" is more and more attractive by many domestic scholars. As a writer has such an identity, Hajin's writing also has the diaspora features. So, it will be a valuable try to analyse the diaspora writing of hajin by his new novel AFree Life.Generally, the thesis will include four parts. In the first part, it will reviews the development of diaspora,ranging from the its origination and historical evolution,to its different Chinese translation firstly. Next, it will generally introduce the Chinese American Literature and focus on the research object in the thesis is the immigrant writer. Also, there is a simple introduce to the novel A Free Life and its author Hajin. In the second chapter, the thesis will analyse Hajin's diaspora writing form the cultural identity aspect from three parts: sense of loss of the established identity; the conflict and integration of heterogeneous culture; heterogeneous culture and cultural identity change. In the third chapter, it will focus on the general aesthetic feature of Hajin's diaspora writing. This feature is examined from the aspects such as the analyses of the events; the people features and the language in the novel A Free Life. The cultural value of Hajin's diaspora writing will be disscussed in the last chapter, including the significance of its marginality, its contribution in the merge of its heterogeneity and nationality in the age of globalization.In the age of globalization, many problems,such as the identity establishment and cultural heterogeneous,will influence the development of every people's culture and literature all over the world. Immigrant literature, also as a diaspora literature, has significant cultural features. Therefore, it is a significant value to examine the immigrant writing of diaspora writer and his creation features under the framework of the diaspora studies.Based on an extensive reading, the thesis adopted a approach,that is ,through a combination of the theoretical overview and individual writing analysis, to analyse the novel to explore the significance of diaspora writing of the immigrant writer.
