Immigration is the introduction of new people into a habitat or population. This paper take the immigrants in xi'kou region as the object of study, unifies the method through the literature material analysis and the field investigation, discuss the reasons and the process of immigration to xi'kou region as well as the response of Qing imperial upon the immigrants. After two hundred years development in this region, the new society has been formed, it also has a through change in terms of the economic structure, administration, foundation, commerce and customs. The Han people has eventually become the majority after the modification of the population, getting on well with the local Mongol. Undertaking research on the details of the immigration in this region can give us helpful view in the study of marginal society development.
