Notes body novels had developed dramatically in their heyday of North-Song and South-Song Dynasty and a great variety of them were created by lots of writers at that time. So many notes body novels of Song Dynasty are handed down to us, and the note named Shao Shi Wen Jian Lu is one of the most important of them. It's a 20-volume note, comprising great of information and historical materials about the emperors of North-Song Dynasty, ministers, literati and common people. Its contents include the government affairs, regulation system, ideological prevailing custom, interactive communication, creating literature process, personality characteristic, and daily life and so on. The note impresses us on its vivid notes of society, politics and culture of Song Dynasty, and it supply us research materials with great values of literature, historical materials and social culture literature of that time. The thesis intends to give depth exploration and discussion on its contents, characteristics, fundament of literary thought, artistic features, and its values on literatural materials, historical materials and social culture, reaching the conclusion that shows the note's preciousness in the aspect of literature and history.Chapter one will introduce the purport for creating this note, the forming style, and the characteristics of the contents. Containing two parts:the first is the emphasis on political life of the note having many stories about dealing with government affairs by the emperors of North-Song Dynasty and officials, and the second is vivid and interesting contents just like the novels, showing many anecdotes never being seen in official history.In Chapter two, discusses the impacting on Shao Bo Wen's features of literature by the Song-Confucian Thought,which have three parts:The Song-Confucian Thought emphasizing on the Confucian sense reflected in the creating process impels the author to show his political ideals in his note and this work includes literature, history and philosophy contents, revealing the All-embracing Thought of Song-Confucian. Proposal for calm of Song-Confucian Thought urges the author'works to be natural, popularization and give expression to be better.The artistic style is given in Chapter three. In this chapter, the thesis will mainly analyze the character style, descriptive style, writing performance, organization principles of the note.Then the last chapter summarizes the note's values on literature, historical materials and social culture. The value of literature involves 3 aspects:first, the note records many tales about literati's literature proposals, life state, personality and communication of North-Song Dynasty. The second, the note tells us the ability of those literati and their influence to social. The third, the anecdotes and stories about those literati give us the themes and materials to create new literature and new works. The value of historical materials lies in helping us to make up for the deficiency of official history and correcting some mistakes so that we can know the real history. The value of social culture lies in providing the materials about costumes, Buddhism, imperial examinations, superstitions and prophecies and so on.
