YongZhou ZhiMa Art

The ZhiMa that also called "god horse" "JiaMa" or "MaZi" is a sacrificial supplies in our traditional common folk activities . From craft to see, it is maded with block printing or combined with hand-painted, and therefore belonging to our country's folk engraving art. As a Chinese intangible cultural heritage component, ZhiMa art is also widespread existed in China, and once brings comfort,piety and hope for people's mind. Just for YongZhou ZhiMa, as a local art of China ZhiMa, it was borned in unique cultural soil that with Han--Yao,but it has not caused the people's attention because of the geographical remote and civilization. Until the early 1990s, YongZhou ZhiMa caused scholars' attention in a folk expedition in JiangYong county At HuNan. This paper intends to put YongZhou ZhiMa art as a case study to research its folk value of culture, its folk life function, its existence conditions, its artistic characteristics, etc.And Put it on the idea of " intangible cultural heritage" to research, combining YongZhou region culture and throughing the systematic analysis,comparison, mining and finishing its traditional folk culture connotation, summarizing its artistic characteristics. In this basis, In order to better protect and save the folk art ,I will further analysis the YongZhou ZhiMa art living situation and development situation...
