On Li Panlong Tang Delete

In Ming Dynasty, Study of Tang-Poetry became thriving and prosperous, and Li Panlong was the representative of this study. As the great master in the literature circle, he has his unique viewpoint about literature and poetry. He popularized the Li Mengyang and He Jingming's slogan that articles must be selected in Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty, and poetry must be selected in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty, what's more, he selected and edited Ancient and Modern Poetry Deletion to support this slogan. In Tang Shi Shan, one part of Ancient and Modern Poetry Deletion, Li Panlong highly valued the poetry in the primary and glorious age of Tang Dynasty, combined the proposition of the schools of idolizing the ancients. However, the schools of idolizing the ancients were not all agree on his attitude towards masters and the trade-off about famous works.In Ming Dynasty, even Qing Dynasty, many literators drastically criticized and excoriated his thesis that there was no actual five characters ancient poems in Tang Dynasty but it had the ancient poems belonged to Tang Dynasty's period, such as Qian Qianyi and Wang Shizhen, Undeniably, their poetry opinions were effected by Li Panlong to some degree. In other words, Li Panlong's attitude promoted the development about Study of Tang Poetry.The Selection of Tang Poetry, populared with later ages, contributes to the Tang Poetry's spread and development greatly, which is popular at home and abroad, especially in Japan, although the author is Li Panlong, which is argumentative in the academic circle.This paper try to analyse Li Panlong's cultural attitude in Tang Shi Shan from the author's cultural attitude to make up the academic gap on researching Li Panlong nowadays, and try to provide a shortcut to those who will do Li Panlong's study in future from a new study method.
