From The Struggle For The Recognition Of Multiple Justice Conception

Alex Honneth is a famous philosopher and the majer professor of Critical Theory in Frankfurt school thinking,Germany. His theory has a great influence in the world academic field,and opens a new door of Critical Theory in Frankfurt school. His thoery derived form G·W·F·Hegel's early thinking"The Struggle for Recognition".He recoustructs the recognition theory using Mead's social psychology. He forms his theory by criticizing Foucault's theory,developing Habermas's social comminication theory,deriving the theory of Karl Marx,George Sorel,Jean-Paul Sartre. Honneth perfects the thoery of Recognition by debating and comparing with other theorist. He reveals the moral strength of society developing is struggling for recognition.First,in the article ,I begin with the concept of recognition and find out the same and differences between the recognition theory of Honneth and the theories of others. I research Honneth's konwledge structure and derive the theory of recognition.The concept of recognition of Honneth and Hegel are derive from the Fichte. But,the distinction is that he explains the relationship of recognition and disrespect,disrespect and resistance. In the second department,I comb the content of recognition and distinguish the way thread from recognition to multifarious justice. The three patterns of recognition are"Love", Right","Solidarity"and the three forms of practical relation-to-self are"self-confidence","self-respect","self-esteem". It will cause three forms disrespect expericence when the person who experience the denial of recognition. They are"rape","denial of right"and"insult",and these disrespect experiences will cause the society conflict. Finally,I principally comment the advantage and the disadvantage of the recognition theory of Honneth. The adventages: On one hand,the theory changed the direction of Critical Theory Frankfurt school thinking. On the another hand ,it's postive for academic field to use another way to explain the Marxism. The disadventages: First, in the background postmodernism, his criticism of the reality of captalist appeared inadequate. Second, the social moral of the imagination of his theory is idealism. The adventage of Honneth's theory has a great effect on constructing the harmonious society.
