Comparative Study Of Chinese And Foreign Several Language Exam

Based on the theory of language testing, this dissertation delivered a general review of TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language), JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), and HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), and furthermore, analyzes and explores the comparison of HSK, TOEFL AND JLPT. These three tests are all aiming at those who have their own mother language, so they have the similarities of the examinees and testing types. They all belong to high reliability, however, from the point of validity, these three tests have their own advantages and disadvantages. Additionally, the research and application of TOEFL and JLPT can be traced to 1980s, respectively 1981 and 1984 while the establishment of HSK occurs in these years, so HSK should absorb the essence of TOEFL and JLPL in the process of development.This dissertation hopes to make positive and constructive contribution to the promotion and approval of HSK through this research based on the principles of Reliability and Validity of language testing.
