The present study probed into the phonological deviation of dialect (L1) in early dialect-Putonghua bilinguals.27 participants were recruited in the experiment, with 5 Minnan dialect monolinguals as control group for dialect norm, and 22 Minnan dialect-Putonghua bilinguals, all of which were 3rd Graders. Two picture-naming tasks were conducted to extract the productions of dialect segmental phonemes. Results of acoustic analysis indicated that L2 Putonghua learning led to deviations of L1 dialect segmental production. Quantity and quality of L2 input had a significant influence on the deviation of L1, especially the quality of L2 input. Overall, there was a significant inverse correlation between the quality of L2 input the bilinguals'received and the deviation of L1 production. The present study provided supportive evidence for the assumption that in a common phonological space, L2 input has a significant effect on the deviation of L1 production.
