The Research Of Xu Dishan And Traditional Culture Relations

XuDishan is a distinctive writer in the May fourth period. He is very unique because of trying to use religion to solve the problem of life. He focuses on the temporal practical value of religion.This paper attempts to study XuDishan's mixed ideology by his life experiences and texts. His ideas also changed with the different of life experiences and learning. He kept on asking and answering the question of life, and his philosophy of life is composed of different proportions of religious ideas. This paper studies the influence of Confucian, Taoist and Buddhism first, and than summarize XuDishan's harmonic thought in different periods. We can study the proportions of harmonic thought though analyzing the influence of three different ideas. This paper summarizes his ideas in different periods generally, and focuses on the changed part especially.There are four chapters. The fist chapter is the embracer of Confucianism, the second chapter is the infector of Taoism, the third chapter is the believer of Buddhistical thought, and the last chapter is about the harmonic thought. The Confucian is always a hidden line in his articles, but in the life experiences term, it is clear. This chapter study the influence of Confucian on him from the two lines of life experiences and text, and we can have a deeper understanding of his Confucian thought.The second chapter analyzes the influence of Taoist on XuDishan. Taoist is laid in his early prose and novels. The spider philosophy is a kind of life philosophy influenced by Taoist. This paper tries to find out the Taoist in text by the way of textual analysis, and gets the three parts which were influenced by Taoist.The third chapter study the influence of Confucian on XuDishan. Confucian is notable in XuDishan's works. This paper focuses on analyzing the Much Agony View which has fundamental effect in XuDishan's thought. And at the same time solve the mysteries that there was strong religious atmosphere in his articles.The last chapter focuses on the harmonic thought. I divide XuDishan's works into two periods, and analyze the proportions of Confucian, Taoist and Buddhism in his thought in different periods. And than analyze the different parts in his thought from early period to late period. This paper also discusses Christian Thoughts in his works, so that to outlines his thought sketch.
