As the first collection of the poetry in our country, The book of songs not only contains a emotional life record of our ancestors, but also recreates the scenarios of the daily rituals concerning our ancestors. Our paper regards the mountains in The book of songs as the research object, We found that there are approximately 59 poems engaging mountains in The book of songs, about one fifths of their whole peers, via the interpretations of the contexts and the reshuffling of the poems related to mountain or poems contained words describing mountains. Besides, not only concise introductions for whatever mountain referred to inside The book of songs were prevalent, but also such aspects as their appearances, patterns, positions and orientations were fleshed out. The issue we discuss above combined with the steady development of the character mountain from oracle bone inscription to bronze inscription then zhuanwen and the record about the flood in some ancient books pre-Qin dynasty shows the conclusion that mountains kept a close pace with our ancestors.Environmental phenomena to some extent determined the genesis and development of the cultural behavior. The habit of dwelling against mountains of our ancestors has brought about affect both mentally and in terms of life style to our ancestors. This affect demonstrate at two aspects, life and spirit.From the perspective of life, our paper base on the analyze of Da Ya·Gong Liu and Yong Feng-Ding Zhi Fang Zhong, indicate that our predecessors have stacked up abundant experience at perceiving the topography, the hydrology, the climate and the ambient plants and have executed these experiences in the application of their capital's construction. Furthermore, for a living, they had to picking and hunting in the forest. From the comparison among Zhao Nan·Cao Chong, Yong Feng-Zai Chi, Xiao Ya-Duo Du and Xiao Ya·Bei Shan we can conclude that our ancestors use the form "ZhiBi××, YanCai××" as their way of catharsis when they doing picking. Our analyze of Qi Feng-Huan, Xiao Ya·Che Gong and Xiao Ya·Ji Ri demonstrate that the hunting behavior of our ancestors show some political implications such as military demonstration and preparation.At the spirit aspect, the experience which come from their capital's construction combined the notion of "universe and human as an integrity" and "mutual generation and restriction" Subsequently come into a new charismatic culture of mountains—KanYu. Zhou Song-Shi Mai, Da Ya-Song Gao and Da Ya·Han Lu tell us that after the politicalization of the patrol, mountains became to a real symbol power, and began to take multiple identifications like the border of land and the symbol for monarch. Furthermore, monarch chose to inhume themselves back into the mountain after passing away, meaning to reinforcing the relationship between monarch and mountains, and also conveying our ancestor's craving for longevity. This issue is clearly announced from a lot of sentences that use mountains as the analogy of longevity in Shi Jing-Xiao Ya and the characterization of Shuo Ren in Wei Feng-Kao Pan.
