Chinese traditional landscape painting has abundant artistic quality and infectivity. It forms unique national characteristics and polychromatic artistic style after the development of several thousands of years . Painters through the past dynasties do not pay attention to how to reappear the objects .The objects under their brush pen are symbolized signs which named language symbol.As the most rich implication of Chinese painting language, language symbol is the significant factor for the far evolution of Chinese painting, is the most freely and sensitive medium to convey painters' subjective world, and is the artistic spirit of Chinese traditional painting. The language symbol is a abstract, symbolized sign that aimed for artistic expression of the objects through appreciating, summarizing and subliming when the painters produce works of art. It is a call of Chinese brush-ink language in the theory judgement system of the modern fine arts. The language symbol mainly reflects on the brush technique and ink technique.They play different roles in painting but supplement each other and can not be separated when referring to painting.Huang Qiuyuan is a great creative master of Chinese landscape painting who has a deep attainments on fine arts in the 20th century. His achievements are different from any other masters and is irreplaceable. He has an intimate acquaintance with the quintessence of Chinese landscape painting. He creates a new style which is magnificent, luxuriant and elegant on the base of studying of other masters . His language symbol has a distinctive style. His brush technique has a profound power. He lays stress on Zhongfeng and the combination of dot and line ,and paints with great passion .His picture is a perfect unit of dots and lines which full of strong rhythm. He always uses powerful, polytropic line to paint spiral trees, and the tree roots usually exposed on the ground or the surface of the rocks. The front and sidewise of the mountain are painted by Pima cun, Zhedai cun,dots and lines, which can manifest the structure and character of the mountain properly. He has a excellent technique of using ink,he grasps sharply the variation of the ink and applies them proficiently on producing works of art. A colorful world spreads out before us. In the meantime, the blank of Huang Qiuyuan's landscape painting reaches the acme of perfection. The utilization of blank and white shows unique ingenuity and exquisite. We are in ecstasies over it when enjoying his work. Huang Qiuyuan also pays attention to Jimo, he calls it "cherish ink" as his saying," what is called regard ink as if it were gold, in a word, do not repeat in one same place using brush-ink when you painting. or using kinds of small brush stroke instead of a sheet of ink." The picture is still lively, natural, elegant, with orderliness and endless lingering charm after several times of Jimo.
