The cutting techniques of seal cutting art ranged from the early literati's "There is no trace of sword technique but only brushwork" to the Qing Dynasty's "The technique of knife and brush are integrated into one".Gradually from vassal status to independence.In this paper,the development of seal cutting art is placed in the historical dimension,and through the discrimination and analysis of "There is no trace of sword technique but only brushwork" to "The technique of knife and brush are integrated into one",the understanding of seal cutting masters in different stages is investigated,and the formation of knife and the gradual generation and development of the aesthetic value of knife and brush.
