Doris Lessing is a controversial writer all the time in the Western world. And she won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2007, which made people associate her fierce criticism to political, economic and cultural status of former colonies countries and her humanitarian spirit. However, she was always in the embarrassing situations of gender, race and culture.Lessing's writing mainly includes fiction,political commentary,autobiographical essays and so on. Due to space limitations and topics, and research status of the works, this thesis mainly analyzes novels which are related to the current situation of Black and African countries development in age of colonial and post-colonial. Through the analysis of representative works in earlier stage, this paper tries to come to Lessing'view of colonial rule and the former colonial countries themselves, and analyzes their creative thinking and cultural perspective preliminarily.This paper consists of four parts.The first part mainly describes Doris Lessing research and Translation status at home and abroad. At the same time, there is a brief introduction about the topic's purpose, significance and research method.The second part introduces the background of Lessing's, creating profiles and discusses their creative thinking preliminarily.The third part focuses on works by different races, different social strata and age, gender hero works reflect the colonial and post colonial African multi-racial society living in poverty, the value of identity confusion and widespread feeling frustrated with no future, Confused feelings, criticism of the former colonial masters to colonial countries in Africa due to devastating impact of many, condemned the colonists in the colonial countries, arbitrary and irresponsible. Every house and every farm in the works can be both as a symbol of their situation and as a symbol of the situation of that era. Therefore, the "house" complex of the hero has a profound psychological meaning. It displays the desire of immigrants who wish to take root, stand alone and seek settle down in a strange and alien land.The fourth part briefly describes the political domination, economic exploitation and cultural control of the former colonial countries in Africa, and conveys the trend of the traditional "Africa" of the inevitable disintegration in the multi-ethnic society. At the same time, it also puts forward some imagine for native cultural development of Africa in globalization.
