In the modern context, Frost chose a completely different way of expression with Pound, Eliot and other modernist poets. Putting on a mask and dressing himself as a simple New England farmer, he conveyed the forgotten natural things and rural daily life with classical rhythm. It was a more complex life experience of a modern poets living in twentieth century hiding behind the mask.Lacan's mirror theory reveals the configuration process of the"I"and"others"is to become a premise of"self". This theory is a way to understand the individual identity construction of Frost as a poet. In the comparison with the modernist poets, Frost created his own unique style thought the mask of poetry, forming another modernism style which is very different from modernists.
