| Chinese is one of typical isolated languages and is based on monosyllabic morpheme. Monosyllabic noun is partially monosemy, but monosyllabic adjective and verb are mostly polysemy. Polysemy means that it has the vocabulary of many different meanings to be derived, except for original basic meaning.In Chinese, there are lots of polysemy, and in the actual language living, it is in use extensively and diversely. Because of this, if learners to learn Chinese language understand and study polysemy systematically, they can greatly increase in the efficiency of vocabulary learning. Accordingly, this paper is to seek efficient guiding ways of Chinese's polysemy by analyzing systematically it from the basic meaning to be started to even the derived and expanded meaning. In introduction of this paper, the purpose and significance of this study was presented briefly. The comprehensive analysis on the study of polysemy until recently was analyzed.In Chapter 1, through classification with homonym, the definition of polysemy was clearly given, and the causes and principles of creation was reviewed. In Chapter 2, based on high school's Chines textbooks currently in use in Korea, it was examined how polysemy in Chinese has handled in editing the textbook.In this paper, the lack of vocabulary education was pointed out in the high school Chinese teaching in Korea. In Chapter 3, if effective education of polysemy having several meaning is achieved, it will help with vocabulary leaning much.
