Polysemy has always been a difficulty in language teching and it is also troubling student’s vocabulary learning.In language teching and learning,the confusion caused by multiple meanings of words often made teachers and students flinch,which formed an illusion that polysemy was difficult for teachers to explain and also for students to memorize and use.Nowadays,polysemy has become a major obstacle in the teaching and learning of Uygur language.Therefore,the analysis and research of polysemy has become increasingly important.From the basic viewpoints of cognitive linguistics,this paper researched the verb “(?)” as a case study,to analyze the polysemy in Uyghur,aiming to improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning and help students better grasp the vocabulary.
