The Five Tribes of GaoGouli as an important part in the process of GaoGouli State formation and development, had played a vital role in the nation's history particularly in the aspect of promoting the development of the GaoGouli. Because of the records of the literature of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli fewer is recorded, and the records are also of different kinds, so this issue of the fact brings a great deal of doubts and inconvenience to the researcher. Because it exists discrepancy between the scholars on their interpretation and understanding of the documents, so it produces a large of divergence on its time, territory, material culture and other related problems. And these issues will be further arranged and demonstrated in this article,and the author will replenish some issues which based on the former research of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli made by our predecessors.On the guide of the historical materialism history, the author will band the historical document and the archaeological excavation together systematically to make the disscussion of this article to be more compelling.This article is divided into four parts. In the first part, it describes the status quo of the research on the Five Tribes of GaoGouli. In the second part, it deals with the formation and culture of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli, on that basic, the author discusses the the time, location, and culture of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli. In the third part, the author will further summarize the territorial changes after the foundation of GaoGouli State which was because of the two times of moving the capital. In the fourth section, the author analyzes the changes of the five fomation official system which is occured with the development of the country.Some problems, such as the formation,development and changes of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli, the location and material culture of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli, the management of the Five Tribes of GaoGouli and so on, are all related to the problems of the integration of national development, the regime and the construction of the political power. Therefore,the research on the Five Tribes of GaoGouli has played a fundamental role for the research on history before and after the foundation of Gaogouli and its regional differences in the archaeological culture. And this is also my researching value on this subject.
