George Eliot was one of the greatest British writers of the 19th century. Her life was full of frustrations and legends. In her works, she used the historical reality phenomena to express her understanding of the Victorian era. The Mill on the Floss which published in 1860 not only showed Eliot's creative thinking, but also showed her unique autobiographical. This paper based on the change of the commercial and awareness of the transformation of British in 19th century, and discuss The Mill on the Floss how to face reality and create environment. Therefore, this paper mainly based on space narrative to study the space image in the novel, how to design conflict environment and affect the fate of the protagonist, and in the end how to resolve conflict.Eliot combined her own experiences and works together, endowed with its special meanings when selected space image. Although the work was full of conflicts, humanistic religious influenced Eliot so much, thus, the work implied the possibility of contradictions dissolve. Thus, creative space, reading space, text space and thought space constitutes to sublimation, and explained the connotation of the end of the contraction is love, and finally finished the establishment of the tapered space from surface to point.
