Family Zhang in Chengji of Song-Dynasty have a greater impact in the family history and literary history.The thesis will reveal its unique achievement by collecting and studying its family and literature, also to show its special status in Song Dynasty and influences on the future generations. The following in details are:The preface introduction includes basic information and main features about literary family of Song-Dynasty, the study of current situation and significance of family Zhang in Chengji, and definition of concepts. Song Dynasty is transition phase from patriarch-type family to patriarchal family.Its major chacracteristics include:disproportion of family distribution, most of them clustered in developed areas of education, particularly, Jiangsu and Zhejiang where locate in Jiangnan Areas that have made up 2/5 of the total. Most family members started by imperial, and maintain the vitality and prosperity of the family in "imperial-official career" mode. The family's rise and fall have changed very fast.The first chapter studies genealogy, members, marriage, imperial and writing about family Zhang in Chengji. This family is started by exploits and inheritance in culture. It survived almost 200 years from the Southern Song Dynasty to the middle of Yuan Dynasty. This family has many generals and scholars. It was the representative who successfully transformed from the war service family to literary family. Today, there are 52 persons as known by textual criticism. The marriage of family Zhang in Chengji emphasis on equal status or prestige and better family traits.Previous generations married with general family, later several generations married with the reading family. Most members of Family Zhang in Chengji are prolific author, such as Zhang Zi, zhang Ru, Zhang Shu and Zhang Yan. Their works have come down from that time.
