The Comparative Study Of Guangxi Quanzhou Xiang Dialects

As a branch of Xiang dialects, there still retains some main characters of Xiang dialects in Guangxi Quanzhou dialect, such as neat ancient voiced system. Because of the contact of languages, the development of languages themselves,and so on, there has been many differences between Quanzhou Xiang dialects and Hunan Shuangfeng dialects in the phonetics, vocabulary and grammar. Quanzhou Xiang dialects has been drawing closed to the local strong dialect—Guilin Mandarin. Based on the comprehensive and profound investigation of Guangxi Quanzhou Xiang dialects and Hunan Shuangfeng Gantang dialects, this paper described the Quanzhou Xiang dialects'characters about phonetics, vocabulary and grammar detailedly, then compared with the representative of old Xiang dialects—Shuangfeng Gantang dialect. And found the differences in phonetics, vocabulary and grammar, revealed the characters of Quanzhou Xiang dialect.
