| Shuangfeng dialect is the typical representative of the old Hunan（Xiang）dialect,Santangpu town,located in the southwest of Shuangfeng County,the east of Yintang town,Shuangfeng County,the west of Zhuocao town,Shaodong City,is the border area of Loushao,Xiangshuang and Shaowu where the old Hunan language is spoken.On the basis of Shuangfeng dialect,Santangpu dialect has formed its own characteristics under the influence of different the old Xiang dialects in neighboring areas.Upon the field investigation,this paper makes a comprehensive description of the phonetics and vocabulary of Santangpu dialect by using the methods of description,historical comparison and quantitative analysis.Some phonetic characteristics of Santangpu dialect are observed and the language situation in the borderland across Loushao,Xiangshuang and Shaowu dialects is demonstrated by comparing with the medieval phonology,analyzing the context of its phonetic development and making horizontal comparison with the dialects of Yongfeng town in Shuangfeng County and the dialects of Shaodong County.The paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction.It introduces the geographical location,historical evolution and language survey of Santangpu town in Shuangfeng county as well as the research status of Santangpu dialect It also shows the purpose,significance and method of this study,the pronunciation of the partners and a brief introduction to the text.The second chapter focuses on Santangpu dialect phonetic system and phonological characteristics.Firstly,the phonological system of Santangpu dialect and its coordination relationship are described.The second part of Chapter Two compares the phonological system of Santangpu town with that of the middle ancient ones,explores its phonetic development rules,and finds that the pronunciation of the ancient turbidient consonant is more pronounced,the pronunciation of Zhizangjian group is like that of Duan group and the pronunciation of the false diphthong is enhanced.The third part of Chapter Two makes a comparison bewteen Snatangpu dialect sound system and that of the YongFeng town and its neighboring county Shaodong.According to the language characteristics of the previous study,Sangtangpu dialect,with typical features of dialects in district transition zones,is part of Loushao and Xiangshuang dialects but significantly influenced by Shaowu and Shaodong dialects.The fourth part analyzes the phenomenon and its causes of different reading in Santangpu dialect.Chapter three is the homophone vocabulary of Santangpu dialect.Chapter four tells the study of vocabulary in Santangpu dialect.Compared with the use of mandarin words in ancient Chinese vocabulary,the number of syllables,word formation morpheme differences,it is concluded that Santangpu dialect vocabulary has its own features,that is,Sangtangfu dialect retained a large number of ancient Chinese vocabulary,at the same time,there are a large number of dialect vocabulary with characteristics of Hunan（Xiang）dialect,vivid,expressive accurate,with distinctive local features.Chapter five is the vocabulary of Santangpu dialect.Chapter six is the conclusion.This paper sums up the phonetic and lexical features of Santangpu dialect. |
