Asymmetry search point to response the stimulation by the index, search stimulationB in stimulation A and search stimulation A in stimulation B, search efficiency are not thesame, and have significant difference. In the past asymmetry study, the researchers are allin a single task condition found the asymmetry phenomenon, and think it is human visualprocessing phenomenon. But in real life visual search often are not in a single task, itexecutes between different tasks. So in task-switching conditions, does this visual searchasymmetric phenomenon still exist? It is enhance or abate or a stable situation under thecondition of different before task? This study designs three experiments to explore theabove problems. Experiment1: the asymmetry search of graphics under a single taskcondition, in order to investigate, is visual search asymmetry still presence in the cases ofdiamond and pentagon are as target and distractor each other; Experiment2: theasymmetry search of graphical under the parallel processing condition, in order toinvestigate when before task belongs to parallel processing task types effect theasymmetric; Experiment3: the asymmetry search of graphical under the series ofprocessing conditions, in order to investigate when before task belongs to series processingtask types effect the asymmetric. The asymmetry search phenomenon of Experiment2,Experiment3belong to task under the condition of task-switching.The results ofexperiments find that, all of the three experiments find asymmetric phenomenon, theasymmetric effect is not significant difference between the experiment1and experiment2,but the asymmetric effect is significant difference between the experiment3andexperiment1and between the experiment3and experiment2. And the visual searchphenomenon is influenced by before task, the more complicated of the before task, theasymmetry phenomenon more significant in after. At the same time we design task of a single color judgment in before experiment2, we found reaction time become shorter withthe increase of stimulus items. we design task of joint of color and shape judgment Inbefore experiment3, we found reaction time become longer with the increase of stimulusitems. The results will help us recognize human visual search mechanism and also providepowerful evidences when we are discussing attention.
