Adult Attachment, Emotional Regulation The Way And Interpersonal Relations Research

The object of the paper described the general condition of college student's adult attachment, emotion regulation types and interpersonal relationships, and analysed the existing difference of these three variable quantity among gender, grades, major,and only-child or not,and the relationship of these three variable quantity.The research emphasized to explore the intermediary variable role of emotion regulation types in the effects of adult attachment to interpersonal relationships.The study used revised The Questionnaire of Reliability and Validity of Experience of Close Relationship, The Questionnaire of Emotion Regulation Types compiled by Gross, and Zheng Richang's TCSDS as research tools. Thronging the random sampling method, we extracted409college students, and researched the relationships among adult attachment, emotion regulation types and interpersonal relationships of them. The research shows the results as follows:(1) The college students of different gender and only-child or not existed significant differences on attached to avoid dimensions. The college students of different grades and majors didn't exist significant differences on anxiety and avoid dimension.(2) The college students of different gender and majors existed significant differences on express inhibit dimensions. The college students of different grades and majors, and only-child or not didn't exist significant differences on expression suppression and express inhibit dimensions of emotion regulation types.(3)The college students of different gender, grades, majors, and only-child or not existed significant differences on dealing with the People of interpersonal relationships.(4)Analyzing any tow variable quantities among these three variable quantities of adult attachment, emotion regulation types and interpersonal relationships, we knew that attachment anxiety negatively related to expression suppression, positively correlated to express inhibit and interpersonal relationships; attached to avoid positively correlated to expression suppression, express inhibit, and interpersonal relationships; expression suppression negatively related to interpersonal relationships; express inhibit positively correlated to interpersonal relationships.(5)Emotion regulation plays intermediary role in the effects of adult attachment to interpersonal relationships. Express inhibit plays completely intermediary role in the effects of attachment anxiety and attached to avoid to interpersonal relationships. Expression suppression plays partial intermediary role in the effects of attachment anxiety and attached to avoid to interpersonal relationships.
