Margaret Atwood is the famous author in the modern Canada. Atwood own the unique feeling in the female image, and deep insight. Her writings have the versatile theme, which combine the historical environment and personal growing. She use different technique of expression and show the charming female world.The scholars emphysize the Feminism in the text of Margaret Atwood. My article pays the attention to the dilemma, exploration, and return to the original of the female situation. Under the analysis of the theme, my article use the theories'existentialism'of Sartre and Heidegger to understand the text.My article mainly clarifies three questions.The author discuss the first question is the confused state of Margaret Atwood's novels. First, the author combines the works, analyzesvarious confused state and behaviours of the characters, and combines Sartre's theory about choose freely . Thus, the author clarifies the complexity. Second, The author use Sartre's theory about alienation ,and points out that the heroines'confused state is the kind of state by alienation. Last, to the heroines ,the author analyzes the effect of Atwood's growth experience, feminist ideas, and invasion from USA. Furthermore,the author discuss the different persons'exploration in novels. First, the author analyzes the different explorations of the heroines. These explorations show the different choices of The heroines. Second, the author adopt Heidegger's theory about falling down, and discuss the common exploration under the falling down. Last, the author gets the conclusion: the exploration of the heroines is closely connected with the experience of Atwood and her thought.Absolutely, the heroines return to their own ego through explorations. The author discusses the complexity of returning to the ego from the sight of the Sartre's theory about choose freely and the thought of Heidegger. Second, combining with the thought of Heidegger, the author points out that returning to their own ego is returning to the original, and concludes the same connotation of returning to the original. Last, the author clarifies that the returning to the original of the heroines is connected with the mature of feminist ideas, the personal growth experience and the future road of Canada.The heroines in Atwood's novels experienced the pattern of confused state, exploration, and returning to the original. These kinds of returning are not only returning to the original of the heroines, but also the personal returning of Atwood.
