In the Iron-Age of Britain, the Celts are the owner of the British Isles. They believe in 'Natural Religion', based on Druidism believe in animism and immortality. With the conquest and domination of the Romans on Britain, the Roman religion and the Eastern Mediterranean coastal areas of some other religion passed in Britain. Thus, in the period of Roman Britain, the British people's religious sects are more confused and religious life is disturbed traverse, until Christianity established the only legal religion of the Roman Empire. The purpose of this study is to clearly carding religious sects and trend in Roman Britain, in order to understand the central place of religious worship to social influence. Also like to arouse public awareness in the study of British history, and even religious history has not yet attracted the full attention to the religious and cultural phenomenon of the Chinese academic circles.In this thesis, by means of history and archaeological information is divided into three parts of the discourse.The first part: the introduction. A briefly introduces the condition of religious life in Roman Britain, and the reason of selecting topic, research methods, as well as related concepts definition.The second part:the text. Carding and analysis mainly from the five aspects to the religious life in Roman Britain:Chapter1discusses the religious life of Iron Age Britain from introduction the residents of the British Isles and the religious life of Celts. Chapter2narrates the process of Caesar and Claudius conquest the Britain and the way taken by domination. Chapter3more detailed carding religious sects in Roman Britain:Roman religion, Eastern religions—including Mithraism, early Christianity and other deities, and Celtic religion. Chapter4elaborates the central place of Roman religion on the British political stability, development of the religious process, the personal psychological comfort and adaptation, and funeral custom produce of the social influence. Chapter5telling the adaptation and change to the Christianity, and some of pagan beliefs and festivals retained.The third part:the conclusion. Despite the limited impact of Roman on Britain, and eventually evacuated, but we can't and should not forgot that it was brilliant. At the same time, let's also witness development course of the religion from'Natural Religion'to'Polytheism' to'Monotheism'.
