The Research On The Transfer Of The Center City Of Yangquan Basin In The Historical Period

In historical period Ping ding city which was inside Yangquan basin in the east of Shanxi had been regarded as the central city in its area. It was located in the east border of Shanxi, it also enjoyed the good reputation of a crucial town in the east of Shanxi. But Yangquan had overtaken Pingding city as the central city within the bounds of Yangquan Basin and replaced the long established status of Pingding city, Because of the development of modern traffic, mainly was the construction of Zheng-Tai Railway, and the rich coal and iron resources in this city. In addition to its title of "the first city of Chinese Communist Party", cultural factors in recent period also promoted the development of Yangquan. After collecting of relevant historical data and concluding of the previous and present research results in Yangquan basin, some elementary research on the central city in Yangquan basin in history and the transfer of the central city has been done in this paper with the methods of historical geography, history, sociology. This paper can be divided into five parts:Firstly, the introduction section:including putting forward of the problem, the significance of the research, academic history review.Secondly, the first chapter, the basic investigation of the first central city-Ping ding city in basin area in history. Part one, investigate the location problem of Ping ding city and find out the reason of its location. The external form and the interior space structure are also the content of research; Part two, study the construction of Ping ding county, including the expansion and renovations of the city.Thirdly, the second chapter, this part is mainly on the cause of the transfer of the central city from Ping ding city to Yangquan. First of all, research the modern traffic and the traffic situation in history. According to the research of the courier station and the construction of the railway, get the significance of the transfer of the central city in Yangquan basin; The second investigate the rich resources of coal and iron in the basin, which power the rise of Yangquan city.Fourthly, chapter3, examine the rise of Yangquan city, understand its historical evolution, the change of administrative division and the expansion of urban space.Fifthly, conclusion, give a summary of the whole research.
