By Chuan Interpretation Of The Word "function Words Classification Concepts Investigated

Jing Zhuan Shi Ci, written by Wang Yinzhi in Qing Dynasty, is a work that reflects Wang's concept of function words. It has prominent academic value and status in the history of Chinese linguistics. This paper makes a special effort to study the classification of function words in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci, so that we can understand and grasp Wang's concept of function words. Actually, Jing Zhuan Shi Ci doesn't make a concrete and specific classification of function words, but some parts of this book does imply Wang's concept of function words. On the basis of corpus of this book and previous related research, I make a comprehensive analysis and interpretation of the classification of function words in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci and summarize Wang Yinzhi's concept of function words to provide some references for future research.The paper consists of five parts:First is the preface. In this part, through the comparison between Jing Zhuan Shi Ci and other books about function words at the same period, it introduces Jing Zhuan Shi Ci's academic value and discusses its present research situation and the ideas of our research.The first chapter is the classification of function words reflected by terms. According to terms that Wang uses and grammatical meanings and functions of function words in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci, the terms and function words are introduced and analyzed.The second chapter is the classification of function words reflected by synonymous words. Function words in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci are more explained by synonymous words than terms. I introduce and analyze five sets of words explained by " Ji "," Er "," Hu "," Ran "," Jiang " and Wang's concept of classification of function words reflected in the way of explanation to these words.The third chapter is the classification of function words reflected by listing items for different meanings. Wang listed items for different meanings of each word. This mode reflects the links and differences of the function words. This paper takes " Yu "," Qi "," Gou "," Fu " as examples to describe every meaning and grammar position and grammatical function of them. Consequently, we can have a better understanding of Wang's concept of classification of function words.The fourth chapter is concept of function words in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci. Combined with the content of the first, second and third chapter, we discuss four aspects of Wang's concept of function words. These four aspects include definition, classification, textual research, semantic change, which are the theoretical basis of Jing Zhuan Shi Ci.The fifth chapter is influence on later studies of function words. We take Ma Shi Wen Tong and Ci Quan as examples to discuss Jing Zhuan Shi Ci's influence on later studies of function words. The discussion is divided into three aspects, which are concept of function words, classification of function words and research methods of function words.As a work of critical interpretation of ancient texts, Jing Zhuan Shi Ci inevitably has some defects. But one flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade. Wang's concept of function words reflected by Jing Zhuan Shi Ci has already achieved a certain academic level. It deserves more in-depth research.
