Since the1980's, the discussion about Wang Shuo never seems to stop. Wang Shuo is very popular in the underlying reader because his works is in line with the popular cultural orientation, but in the same time, the "Wang Shuo phenomenon" made a great disturbance in the elite intellectuals. However "Wang Shuo phenomenon" is not an accidental event, it's inseparable with the social, cultural, and economy.It is unique to talk about Wang's work in literature during the new period, the paper will research Wang Shuo through his personal experience, historical events.The body is divided into four chapters:Chapter I Social transformation and the literature during the new period, and give a basic set of them.Chapter II The "bad boy" and youth image in the transition period, this chapter discuss Wang Shuo's fiction from "superfluous man" and "larker", in my opinion the character image in his works has a close contact with Wang Shuo's own experience, we can even say that Wang is writing the different age of him.Chapter III "irony and Wang Shuo's language revolution", I think Wang's mode of discourse is conducted with irony and subversion, here is a very important thing:Wang Shuo's words usually embezzle the revolutionary discourse and the words of Mao Zedong, he made them lose the great significance, but his language is not out of nowhere, the writer explain the environment of language through showing the history.Chapter IV enlightenment questioning and the change of literature in new period, the writer try to explain Wang's unique literature idea, however, although Wang Shuo is trying to removed literary authority, but his creation itself is a kind of construction.Conclusion Wang Shuo or "Wang Shuo phenomenon", reflected Chinese contemporary literature's change in the80's and90's last century.
