Folk art is a unique art form which has the most traditional Chinese character, it is a stage art that originates from "oral language", with performance as the logical form, and rap as its aesthetic construction. At the mean time, fork art can be also considered as a comprehensive art, which has elements like literature, music and gallery. It has a close relationship with literature, it is not only the origination of traditional Chinese novels, but also plays an important role in the development of other artistic forms like poems and ballads.Folk art gets a rapid development after the May Fourth new art movement happened in China, this sort of art form draws the attention of many modern Chinese writers, they show their interests in the study of folk art theory and the popularity of the art form, their study of it modernizes folk art, not only highers the social statues of it, but also makes the characteristics of folk art widely accepted, which enriches the means of arts creation and modernizes the folk art. In the process of the interaction between folk art and literature, Lu Xun, Lao She and Zhao Shuli are the most dominant writers:With the views of arts origination, Lu Xun bases the foundation of fork art theory, making this art widely accepted by the public, introducing the writing technics like straightforward and irony into his works. This not only enriches the means of his art creation, but also makes folk art better known and accepted by others and finally ensures its position as an art form; Apart from Lu Xun, with his cognition and understanding of folk art, Lao She tries to enrich his works with the help of folk art by borrowing folk arts to express his emotions and demonstrate his ideas. He also takes parts in the reform of fork art after the foundation of new China, with the classification of traditional fork art, the compile of modern fork art, and the writing of theory articals of fork art, he tries to make his contribution to the reform and development of fork art; Zhao Shuli has a special fascination on fork art, he combines fork art with his art creation, and puts it into practice, which puts the characteristics of fork art into his works in a dedicated and accurate way. This not only forms his peculiar art feature, but also makes his "problem novels" and "neo-storytelling novel" well-known in the modern literature field. In conclusion, these writers makes folk art changed a lot, which is more close to our society and people and meanwhile fastens the modernization of folk art. They use different ways to enrich and develop folk art. Some introduces the artistic features of folk art into their creation, some uses the form of folk art directly to enhance effects of expression, some engage in the work of revoluting and developting scripts and folk arts directly, after experiencing the process of existence, exploration and practise, no matter which way they use, they both make contributions to folk art.This thesis is divided into six parts. With the help of a brief review of the long term development of fork art, Introduction presents the relationship between fork art and modern literature and has a further analysis of the current studies of fork art and literature. The first part will analyze the relationship between Lu Xun and fork art from two aspects in detail; part two is further divided into two sub-parts to demonstrate Lao She's endless fascination on fork arts; part three reveals the relationship between Zhao Shuli and fork art from the perspective of the reasons why he pay special attention to forks art and how the fork art elements been shown through his works; part four mainly introduces fork art's influence on modern literature creation, especially its influence on novel creation. Conclusion summaries the interaction relationship between modern literature and fork arts.
