Zhu Geliang was an all-round person who was loyal, capable, and moral as well as had a talent for management. He was renowned prime minister and intellectual in the early Three Kingdom period. Up to the present, Zhu Geliang is not only a historical figure or literary image, but also a typical symbol for Chinese cultural tradition.The figure of Zhu Geliang has been improved with the times, from the image of Zhong Wuhou enthroned by the rulers of all the past dynasties, to the image of Zhi Sheng Xian Shi polished by folk tradition, until today's diversified cultural forms. Moreover, Zhu Geliang's image has developed from relative fixed cultural extension to open cultural extension of nowadays, which fully reflects abundance in its cultural value.Through our information collection and research, this article aims to look on various images and characters of Zhu Geliang both from official and folk culture as vertical perspectives. Meanwhile, this article treats new and diversified cultural forms in contemporary social lives as lateral perspectives. From the evidences we have got, it seems that contemporary social and cultural lives are all based on traditional and typical cultural background and then express human-based, personal and localized contents by brand-new forms, in order to meet the requirements of diversification. In particular, although Zhu Geliang's image appears to be open cultural extension, it is still on the ground of Zhu Geliang's classic figure. However, this kind of new character has been magnified a lot, which approaches to a kind of brand-new image. In the following, this article explains Chengdu's folk activities of You Xi Shen Fang from both folkways and research in Zhu Geliang's image.Furthermore, given Chengdu's local cultural features and the present situations of Chengdu's cultural industry, this article focuses on intrinsic possibility as well as extrinsic conditions for the combination of Zhu Geliang and Xi Shen. Treating Zhu Geliang as Xi Shen, in essence, is a kind of outcome of cultural industry operation by Chengdu Government. This behavior, which both has obvious intention and somewhat accidentals, plus diversified image of Zhu Geliang mentioned above, leads to our deeply thinking about the existing forms of traditional cultural heritage. So that we can discuss the new change of traditional cultural symbols and pay more attention to current trend of traditional culture development. Rather, the behavior of treating Zhu Geliang as Xi shen reflects that folk tridition and classic culture are mutually inclusive in contemporary social and cultural lives. These two concepts are not opposite. Folk custom has been integrated by classic culture, at the same time, classic culture could pass on with the help of folk custom.
