The Chinese college students, the hope of CPC and China, are shouldering the critical responsibility of national prosperity and national rejuvenation. The ideological and political thoughts can generate critical effects on not only Chinese college students' individual development but also China's social modernization. Meanwhile the CPC fundamental knowledge education, the basis and core of ideological and political education, must be placed as the top priority. Along with informationization and knowledge-based economy, various ideological doctrines, political theories, living and cultural thoughts are confronted with increasing intense interaction. Our era featured with explosive knowledge, globalization, network, information and virtual world are inevitable changing our life style. Under this background, the college open-minded students curious with new things are receiving continuous influence of the western ideology, value and thoughts, which brings new chance and challenge to the CPC fundamental knowledge education. Therefore institutions in China are confronted with an urgent task to explore and strengthen the content, system and effective method of CPC fundamental knowledge education through reform and innovation.Through analysis of the current situation of CPC fundamental knowledge education, this thesis attempts to explore the construction of effectiveness-oriented CPC fundamental knowledge education system and integrate various teaching resources, methods in an applicable and feasible way to instruct the CPC fundamental knowledge education with college students as the target group.The first chapter introduces the research topic, object and methodology. The second chapter reviews and summarizes the past research. The third chapter analyzes the current situation of CPC fundamental knowledge education with college students as target group and draws a conclusion that strengthening CPC fundamental knowledge education is necessary for social development. The forth chapter analyzes the survey results of college students in Shandong University on CPC fundamental knowledge education with regression method, and attempts to analyze the elements effecting cognition of CPC fundamental knowledge. The fifth chapter analyzes the principle in CPC fundamental knowledge education including systemization, subjectivity, effectiveness, practicality,'scientific outlook on development'-instructed, combining domestic and international practice and etc. The sixth chapter discusses the construction of CPC fundamental knowledge education system in respects of teachers, content, method and the subjectivity of college students. The seventh chapter concludes this paper.
