The criminal witnesses have a special significance to the criminal lawsuits. Their value means not only the recovering of the truths of the cases, but also the maintaining the justice of the legislations. But in China, the value of the criminal witnesses has not attracted adequate attention by the people. Especially, the criminal witnesses'proper rights have not been protected completely. There are many reasons for this question. But the most important one of these is that there is no special legislation to regulate it. How to resolve this question is the main purpose of this paper.In this paper, the author is going to call on the people to pay more attention to the protection of the criminal witnesses by legislation. In the author' opinion, legislation is the most efficient and relevant key to resolve it.
