Since the third industrial revolution, the part-time labor have rapidly been developed in worldwide, and it gradually become a kind of important labor form. Whether in the developed or developing countries, part-time employment in the proportion of the population is rising in total employment. The form of part-time employment plays an increasingly important role. In recent years the form of part-time employment has also been great developed. The employer are likely to choose part-time employees, especially in the fields of restaurants, supermarkets, community service. The traditional full-time employment can not meet the demand of development of our national economy, which determines the part-time employment should join in employment mode of our country. The Part-time jobs not only relieve serious situation in employment situation, but also be in accord with the trend which people choose the employment mode in future. However, Our late start-time employment is facing many theoretical and practical derailed problems in the process of development, for example, lagging policy development behind the reality, no legal protection in comprehensive coverage, the lack of available resources and the social security system in place and so on. It makes the potential of the part-time labor form be far from fully developed, which failed to max out its role.This article is divided into three levels to study the part-time employment protection. The concept, the causes, the significance and trend of part-time employment are outlined in detail. After comparing the different definitions of full-time employment in the various regions and organizations, it points out defects of definition in China.Then the reasons of fast development in full-time employment are introduced from the premise, the internal and security. Whether employment or economic development, such forms of employment have a unique value of existence and it is also characterized by the existing problems. This paper summarizes several major problems of the status. The existing legal provisions on part-time employment in general and specific content are described in the second part. The former is divided into local regulations, national regulations and law ministries. The latter is divided intowo parts before and after"Labor Contract Law" tointroducethe main content of the current legal regulation.The inadequacy and shortcomings of our legislation in part-time employment are pointed out. And a sound proposal is proposed mainly from the concept, scope, form of contract labor, overtime pay and hours of wage standards, labor relations lifted, social insurance of part-time employment,and so on. The prospect of this paper is to make modest in the development of part-time employment.
