Theoretical Reflection On Popularization Of Contemporary Chinese Marxism

Popularization of Marxism is essential to Marxist theory. Since the day Marxism was brought into China, popularization of Marxism has been constantly carried out with the process of Chinese Marxism. "Push forward Popularization of Contemporary Chinese Marxism (PCCM afterwards)," advocated in the report of 17th National People's Congress by Hu Jingtao, general secretary. He gave the scientific proposition a new mission, which made a brand-new study in the age. Practice proves that only the theory is understood and grasped by the vast mass of people can its value be reflected. Only constantly popularize contemporary Chinese Marxism can it exert great efforts to the practice for constructing and developing Socialism in Chinese characteristic. Therefore, it is of great importance to study deeply the tremendous subject of PCCM.As to the reflection on PCCM, the thesis inquires mainly from four perspectives:scientific connotation and significance of PCCM, successful experiences of PCCM, challenges of PCCM, and vigorous improvement of PCCM. In the first part, it scientifically analyzes and clearly defines the connotation of PCCM. It argues for significance of PCCM from both aspects of theory and reality. In the second part, it studies and sums up the successful experiences of PCCM. It clarifies the popularity of Marxism in different historical period, especially the representatives in each period. In the third part, it inquires and discusses the current challenges of improving PCCM. From external lashes of multi-values to internal social and traditional disputes, from contents to methods, it analyzes and argues from many aspects. And it specifies the current environment of improving PCCM. In the fourth part, it puts forward the ideas and strategies of improving PCCM. Based on existing problems, it advocates four specific measures, such as creating a fine environment, realizing popularization and actuality, making full use of modern techniques, and perfecting system and mechanism. It provides beneficial reference to improve PCCM.
