With the advent of information age, information, material and energy have become three fundamental resources. The government, which is both owner and controller of information, is obliged to reveal the information to the public. It is world-wide trend for government information disclosure. By now, over fifty countries, including America and Russia, have established laws or regulations to ensure government information revealing. In China, although the central government have made relevant laws regarding information revealing, the process is never easy due to old institutions and traditional reasons. Many government staff even think that government information should be kept secret, not mention the openness to the public.Administrative crime refers to the unlawful behavior of government clerks that make use of power to get interests. Such crimes have never disappeared since human society. It severely defies the authority of government and gains more and more attentions all over the world. People hope to eliminate administrative crimes through various means, among which information revealing is an important one. Information revealing can effectively prevent such crimes.This thesis carries out the research between government information revealing and administrative crime prevention by inspecting up-to-the-date research results both domestic and abroad. The logical structure of this article is arranged in such a way that it follows the natural steps "Questions-Analysis-Solutions". The organization of this article is as follows:Chapter 1 summarizes the research paper and results by scholars. It outlines research background, significance and state-of-the-art. Chapter 2 illustrates some basic theories regarding information revealing and administrative crimesChapter 3 carries out investigation of practical activities that have been applied in real life.Chapter 4 analyzes the role of information revealing in fighting administrative crimes as well as the crucial points during fighting process. Chapter 5 comes up with several suggestions that can be tried out to promote information revealing and fight against crimes.Chapter 6 concludes the whole thesis.
