In recent years, due to the changes in the concept of social marriage ethics, premarital cohabitation, which has been developing fast in China and even universalized, has gradually become a new pattern of family life. The premarital cohabitation phenomenon is a social phenomenon that objectively exists and it is characterized by prevenient fact. However, our current legislation on premarital cohabitation hasn't kept up with social reality, so disputes between parties concerned cannot be resolved effectively, timely and fairly, which goes against the safeguard of their rights and does not conform to the spirit of legal protection of human rights.This paper is divided into four sections, 20,000 words in all.The first part is the introduction of typical case. This section introduces non-marital cohabitation in three aspects, mainly from the personal relationship in non-marital cohabitation, property relations, and parent-child relationship.The second part describes the focus of controversy and disagreement point. This section mainly introduces the focus of controversy existing in the case and different views held by different parties.The third part is about the focus of dispute in this case the different views and reasons for the assessment. From the following three aspects: the identification of the case nature, case processing, and value orientation towards the identification of the case nature and processing, this part has a brief analysis and discussion of the case, and mainly discusses the provisions by domestic law views, and the related provisions by foreign laws and the attitudes taken by China about the problem of non-marital cohabitation.The forth section is about the case reflections. Basing on the third part, this section mainly identifies and deals with the case nature, and then proposes some suggestions to improve Chinese non-marital cohabitation for the inadequacy of our laws.
