This paper is about the floating population in the field of Suburban agriculture. Compared with migrant workers,Professor Cao Jinqing called these individuals who farming at Suburban areas for the nong min nong.Taking the town Z of Shanghai for example,from quantity,age,domicile of origin,income of the foreign farmers, their characteristics are described,and then deduce their small-scale farming innate characters. Although in recent years, Shanghai has lanched the strategy in the promotion of agricultural organizations, because of the vitality of small-scale farming,the slow development of agricultural cooperatives,and other reasons,Small-scale farming still exists, this is an important background for the foreign farmers produced.A large number of foreign farmers get into suburb village,which have a great impact on social structure of the village, the new dual structure are forming,it will have influence on suburban social stability and the development of urban agriculture.The last part is about the development trend of foreign farmers, the foreign farmers will continue exist, in a certain stage of the foreign farmers won't disappear; on the space, distribution will increase;and the small-scale farming nature will gradually fade.
