Transformation of economics system from planned economy to market economy , as well as the step of China to enter the globalization of the world economy .As a result, the small-scale fanning economy is turning into a more and more important factor which influences the rural economics even the national economy. But our study is relatively sluggish and passive, and the understanding about the small-scale farming economy is prejudiced. Based on Marxism, Deng Xiaoping' s agricultural theory about "two great advances", by applying the methods of Marxism; New institutional economics; industrial economics; sociological science; development economics etc. This paper analyzed systemically such as the theory of reclaiming small-scale farming economy; running environment; successful model; realizing road; international comparison and historical destiny and so on.My paper is composed of one preface and seven chapters as follows:In the preface, it reviews the comments about the small-scale farming economy of the west scholars and writers of classical Marxism-Engelsism works firstly; then, it discuses Chinese opinions about peasant economy during the transitional period. Finally, it puts forward that Deng Xiaoping' s agricultural theory lays a theoretical foundation for reforming small-scale farming economy.Apart from introduction, this paper has eight chapters. It can be divided into four parts which are as follows.The first part, including chapter one , two and three, is foundation of the paper. Chapter one studies the essence and practical meaning of Dengxiaoping 's agricultural theory from the angle of the reforming of small-scale farming economy; then it proposes we must establish a new theory one the base of Dengxiaoping 's agricultural theory. Chapter two describes the evolutionary stage of the peasant economy, based on this, it proposes that small-scale peasant economy does not always hinder the development of the productive forces. Chapter three sums up the significant meanings and functions about the abolition of the people' s commune system and the first leap of rural economy, in the meantime, analyzes its limitations, suggests that the reforming of small-scale farming economy needs second leap of rural economy.The second part, which consists of chapter four and five, is theoretical investigation of construction and developing environment of the reforming of small-scale farmingeconomy. Chapter four studies the relationship between agriculture and industry from macroscopic, and holds that we must promote the equilibrium development of Chinese economy; then studies the relationship between investment and consumption, individual peasant and cooperative organizations in transition period by a micro phenomenon. Chapter five emphasizes on three factors which influence the reclaiming of the small-scale peasant economy, they are: systematical environment; social environment; essential environment, proposes that we must help to bring out the economic developing environment through marketing.The third part includes chapter six and seven. It is the core part of the paper, discussing the successful modes and international comparison about the reforming of small-scale farming economy. Chapter six introduces three modes which emerged in eastern China, and makes an conclusion of the positive factors which promote the reforming of small-scale farming economy; Then analyzes some typical experiences in Midwest China; Finally, points out the reasons for deep gap between different regions, it proposes that the civilian economy and the subject consciousness play the most important part. Chapter seven emphasizes on the international comparison, contrasting eastern China with Japan, the U.S.A and Russia, it suggests that we must keep up collective ownership, agricultural household business, agricultural industrialization and social service system.The fourth part only includes chapter eight.
