Taking army wives of some department of Nanjing Military Region, this thesis analyzes materials on social support for army wives and their subject wellbeing to comprehensively understand the influence social support exerts on army wives and put forward feasible policies. It is hoped that the research result of the thesis will be of reference significance for army wife-related work. The thesis consists of six parts. The 1st part is the introduction, raising the research subject as well as its significance and objective; the 2nd part is the literature review on army wives, social support, subject wellbeing and relations between social support and subject wellbeing; the 3rd part is a brief introduction on the content, hypothesis, methods and measuring tool; the 4th part is the research result, discussing the current situation of social support for army wives and their subject wellbeing through descriptive analysis, Summarizes the characteristics, social support network is limited and the numbers of strong homogeneous, sources of support a single, subjective well-being in the general level, and influencing factors through variance analysis and other analysis concerned. Apart from that, influence of support (age, education, occupation, child, husband position and the whole family income, living conditions) from all orders of society is analyzed respectively through ways of coping, more specifically, it contains the direct influence of objective support and availability of support on subject wellbeing and indirect influence of subject support through ways of coping on subject wellbeing; in the 5th part, measures and suggestions are put forward from the perspective of the army and the society, which concludes the development of social working staff in the army, the innovation point of the thesis; and in the 6th part, I refer to the shortage of research, further research needed for some issues, objective evaluation of this research as well as the direction of future research.
